Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy, just like your mom I've used Turbo Tax for multiple years as an independent contractor and it makes filing easy and cost effective. Never takes me more than a couple hours to get everything entered and at a fraction of the cost.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Exploitative and buggy I used to rely on Turbotax as my sole tax preparer. It's gotten extremely exploitative in recent years, sneaking in extra cost by defaulting to those features being turned on and only having you see it much higher at the end and go through the million routes to remove them. I really liked the integration and convenience with other systems but I cannot stand it sneaking things in repeatedly anymore and all the other growth initiatives they continually do. It was also extremely buggy where after I removed the premium benefits, the interstitial still popped up! After 15 years, I'm going to find another software.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed Not very helpful this year. At the end I ended paying the same price I would have at Jackson Hewitt. I was so unsure of myself this year, I paid for additional services that I most likely won't use or will forget about.

For the low low price of 200 (didn't we start at free?) you can read your forms in print, digitally, and in their terrible app. Constantly second guessing yourself, the import of documents, and your sanity. Thank god this godawful company lobbies congress to keep this mandatory, impossible task. You'd think they would at LEAST make you feel better while they are still your money. You know, buy me dinner first or something

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pleasant service, exorbitant prices I have been using TurboTax since I began filing taxes. Though I appreciate the service, I only am blessed with the headache of filing taxes, and then have to pay for the pleasure of the headache, because of TurboTax and companies like it. Add that to the long list of things we pay for in the US that in other countries, are automatically deducted without having to pay a third-party to do so.
