Rated 3 out of 5 by Hover Lover from I Had Troubled This Year with TurboTax 2022 H&B After a laptop hard drive partial crash, where it rebuilt sectors of the hard drive, I had to reinstall TT Home & Business 2022 on a newer laptop & START OVER COMPLETELY, because it wouldn't even pickup my 2021 info at all. This was tedious. Then TT wouldn't update, when I wanted to file electronically & prevented me from filing. I had to completely uninstall TT, then reinstall the program. Then, rebooted the laptop, opened TT as an administrator, & it worked fine to electronically file both Federal & State returns. Let's see if it did it correctly. Whew! What a bad experience at the tax deadline!

If you have a simple tax return, you can file for free yourself with TurboTax Free Edition, or you can file with TurboTax Live Assisted Basic or TurboTax Live Full Service Basic at the listed price.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
