Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trying to take money! I didn't even use the upgrades and right as I was trying to file, it said I couldn't without and upgrade. So I had to pay $59 for an upgrade I didn't even use. Then the $39 to E-file popped up.... it's almost as if they refused to let me file without getting more and more money for themselves.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Need an online backup / retrieval turbo tax is a good tool, it's often cheaper to buy a digital download or cd than online offering however there is no way to get an old copy of a return if you use digital download or cd. this is a major shortcoming of the solution. either make online the same price or an option to upload to your account.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Screw this I HATE Turbo tax. cost me 178 to file now that I am slightly above the poverty level. What It it EXTREMELY upsets me that the cost of turboax is 3/4ths of my return. So what is the point of even getting the return back. It is such a bad word cluster process to actually file my taxes through turbo tax and then I have to pay almost as much as my return. At that point the IRS can keep my return and save me the trouble of wasting my money on this website.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TURBOTAX Let me down big this year I bought the download version and could not file three returns because TT said the version needed updates but the online update option said my version was updated. After an hour and half I had to completely redo my three taxes online to file. Best part was the service code I was given worked once, when i called back in for another code (which I was told I had to do) I waited another 50 min only to be credited $15 of the $119. So i paid the $85 for the download that did not work AND paid again to file tonight. Been using since 1995 but will be switching tax software next year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overwhelmed and Confused It is frustrating that people who cannot afford to pay to have someone do their taxes done are just kind of screwed. I was overwhelmed and didn't understand some things and was constantly worried I was completing it wrong. To file a certain form that was required for me cost $50 for an advanced plan for BOTH federal and state. $118 that I could not afford, and the upgrade didn't even do anything to help me -- I still wasn't given help/assistance for that plan. It was just an "advanced" version of TurboTax that I was required to pay for in order to submit a form. It's just not fair. I don't have people I can go to for help. It's just disheartening that this is all designed in a way that is complicated and difficult for so many.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty easy and fast self filing Turbotax is my go to for my indivual tax returns. I like the different price options. They will push for more services and fees. But we can proceed with minimal fees if you choose to. Filing is very easy and convenient.
