Rated 3 out of 5 by from ALMOST PERFECT i THOUGHT THAT TURBO TAX GETS EASIER EVERY YEAR. MY ONLY GLICH WAS THAT MY RETURNS WERE REJECTED BECAUSE OF THE IRS PIN. ON 4/18, TURBO TAX SAID THAT THE ONLY WAY TO FIX WAS TO CALL THE IRS, WHICH WAS TOO JAMMED. i SUBMITTED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS MY PIN AND WAS REJECTED AGAIN. ON 4/19, I WENT TO THE IRS WEBSITE AND EASILY OBTAINED MY PIN. AS A RESULT OF MISINFORMATION, MY RETURN IS A DAY LATE..

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still Can't Download Brokerage Statements for 1041 We still have to waste a lot of time keying in brokerage statement data to complete the 1041 and linked-state returns. It's automatic with the 1040. Why?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instruction to type in full names was not clear The process for filing tax returns was thorough and customer-friendly. However, near the end of filing my tax returms when TurboTax mentioned the MAX IRS audit protection feature, which I paid as part of the TurboTax Deluxe purchase, but before e-filing, TurboTax did not accept my wife's full name for some reason. No matter how many different ways I entered my wife's full name, I was stuck, and therefore could not continue.. By this point, since I was near the end of the entire tax filing process, TurboTax MAX audit protection message led me to believe I was done with tax filing and entering my wife's full names was to enroll into and activate the MAX protection feature. Thinking I was done with completing all the necessary tax info and TurboTax would e-file my tax returns right away, I log out, which TurboTax saved everything up to this point. TurboTax already has all of my personal info on records as I have been a customer for several years and my personal info have not changed since. I usually receive a text message from TurboTax telling me the IRS accepted my e-file tax returns, but I did not. I was at work all day, so I did not get a chance to check up on the status of whether the IRS accepted my tax returns or not. I got worried, and decided to check on this the next morning. Well, lo and behold, to my surprise, after logging into my TurboTax account, sure enough TurboTax did not yet e-file my tax returns, and it re-started the entering full name process again, just after it had said I was protected with its MAX feature. Great. Fantastic So I'm back at where I was stuck before. But this time, I don't know what name variation or combination I entered during a frustratingly length of time, but somehow TurboTax accepted the variation of my wife's full name! Simple, right? Well, simple it is not. This "stuck-entering full-name-step" problem costs me a pretty penny late fee penalty with the IRS. Needless to say, I am not happy with TurboTax, as this part of online filing was not clear, leaving non-accounting pro customers such as myself feeling helpless and no prompt pop-up help message was rendered either, such as after entering names incorrectly 3 times. Nor did FAQ help, and I did not see any listing for a LIVE "professional" link or chat. I will not be using TurboTax again for my next year's tax filing, as its fee have also gone up. Instead, I will file with another tax filing service such as freetaxactusa.
