I missed out on an estimated 300$ because I was not informed that while using the free version my tax return documents would be locked in and I would not be able edit or clear and start over if I started the last portion. I was under the impression I could do so as long as I had not actually filled the tax return. I also did not receive anything on state returns which I am certain I could have amended and worked better to my financial good had I know about that!
