Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7 years and going! TurboTax is comprehensive and easy to use. It's helped me maximize my refunds moving from being a student to becoming a professional and owning my own business. It's also made filing taxes easy as we've moved across multiple states over the past few years. I definitely will be using it again next year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Way too expensive The tax programs work fine. However, $85 (from Costco) for a pretty simple return is too expensive. I feel that the price has doubled over the past few years. Will find a cheaper software package net year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Need to know what is in the updates Taxes are pretty easy but some of it doesn't make sense; in FL there is no state income tax yet TT tries to sell it to you over and over. Most disturbing are the vague descriptions of the content of the updates. There is no way to tell how an update could affect your already filed taxes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super upset this year I was not even given the free file option this year..or anyother..the program shuffled me right into some friggin 129.00 package. One w2 and childtax credit. Thats it....nothing else and thats the charge... not recommending ever again. Oh and the "live help" guy that connected to my phone was questionable and laughed at me when he connected to my phone..so wierd and super unsettling so i disconnected... super unhelpful. This year was an aweful experience..

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the Job Done, But Much Room for Improvement I've used TT for years now, and would have expected noticeable incremental improvement by now. Sadly, not much has changed. It does help you to complete your taxes accurately and with decent assistance, but some questions remain very confusing and the software tends to be a bit glitchy. For instance, I tried to print my completed returns and the program crashed. I tried a second time, and just as I was beginning to think it had crashed again (my computer indicated that the program was not responding), the print screen finally popped up. Another minor annoyance is the fact that you cannot adjust the font size. It's extremely small on high-res monitors. Finally, in performing the error checks, the program pointed to line items that were missing answers. This would make sense given that the program never asked for these entries. In all, it's a decent program but it could be much more user-friendly.
