I like the prompts that help me decided how to itemize my deductions as a small business owner/1099, BUT it is NEVER clear how much my taxes will cost until I've committed to the process. THEN one you are advised its $200+ for the "premium" that I never actually selected and $69+ for the state tax form....there are incredible fees. Its more than $300 to file a fairly uninvolved 1099 tax return. I think it only cost $100 the last time I had them done by a professional. I guess its time to go back to that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stop the hard sell, please I chose the cheapest version of Turbo-Tax to use, and the program kept trying to get me to upgrade, probably 4-6 times during the process. This was tiresome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Makes Filing Easy and Fast I like the easy to navigate features and progress timers. I did reach out for some help and got connected quickly with a Tax expert to help navigate to file my estimated tax payments. I gave access to my desktop and was guided where I needed to go to document my estimated payments. I have used TurboTax every year and love how it pre-populates my forms from the previous years saving time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Pain in the Kiester This is the second year in a row that my efile has been rejected. I do not relish the extra work and refund delay of physical mail. Perhaps another tax preparation software will be preferable next time.
