My low rating comes from Intuit spending millions to lobby congress to make it very difficult for most to file their taxes for free. Spending $89 to file federal taxes (on what is now the only straightforward and easy system) should not be accepted as the norm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from State Tax Form Misleading Self preparing a Maine State Tax using TurboTax Premium had some very ambiguous questions relating to partial year residency, where all sources of income were from out of state (Maine) sources. I had to download the specific Maine State for (Worksheet B) instructions in order to understand what was needed at each question that TurboTax was asking. When finished, instead of owing the State of Maine $1600+ the true tax owed was only $372. The wording in TurboTax is very deceiving. Be sure to read the specific state form Instructions is this is the same scenario for anyone else.
