Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets the job done, needs "In-App Purchases" label It is a very professional product that gets the job done and done right. The repeated prompting to purchase a more comprehensive product is very annoying. This is usually preempted by your indicating you have additional tax reporting needs that are not met by your current level of subscription to the product. I would much rather have a price put forth up front and have it cover everything. This is not "Nickle and Dime"ing either... each upgrade costs ~$50 or more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Premier still a 5-star for me!!! Turbo Tax Premier very efficiently imported my 1099's, etc. from my financial institutions. The "Read More" / "What is this?" pop-ups were extremely helpful. Final review and submittal went flawlessly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Better Than Manual; Imperfect with Bugs Took through March for TurboTax to update a critical item related to IRA Covid relief withdrawals, preventing early filing (though IRS had finished the rule update weeks earlier); bugs and quirks prevent easy, consistent navigation to question areas (must work sequentially over already-entered data within certain sections); and the e-file does not always work, even though all security data is correct and aligned with IRS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Advertise for one price and you pay another Turbotax focuses all their advertisement as "file for free today," but in reality you are going to spend 100 dollars minimum for federal and state filings. Even if you select the free option they will offer additional questions and returns later on but in order for them to file you have to upgrade along the way. I would hope they could just be upfront about the cost to file but once you've done the work they hit you with a charge, and at that point you just want it done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No way to cancel added services!! Out $100!!! I thought I might need the added $90 service for stocks. So I added it. But I didn’t. There’s NO WAY to cancel that service so now I’m out $100 (they charge tax too!!) for something I didn’t need or use. There’s NO WAY TO CANCEL IT. Once you get to a certain point they won’t let you start over even if you haven’t filed yet!! Stole $100 for NOTHING. DO NOT CLICK UPGRADE.

AND YOU WILL NOT GIVE MY MY AGI FROM THE YR BEFORE CAUSE I WOULD HAVE TO START 2020 TAXES ALL OVER AGAIN ONLINE AND NOW RE-ENTER ALL THE INFO (WHICH WONT AN OPTION BEFORE) B4 YOU MIGHT LET ME SEE MY PRIOR YR FORMS??????????????????? AFTER THIS I AM NO LONGER YOUR CUSTOMER!
