Rated 2 out of 5 by from Software issue with State filing With 2022 TurboTax software a user may either select to eFile all returns or file by mail all returns. To eFile only the Federal return the work flow does not then offer a selection for State file by mail, only a selection to eFile State at a later date. I got very poor help with two calls: on one connection my call was not really 'answered', I only heard an agent in an ongoing conversation; the second call was useless since the agent was not familiar with the TurboTax work flow. Through my search I found the user may/must go back to the Filing tab [after completing the Federal eFile] and select file by mail. How would a user know to do this an now to know this not disrupt the Federal efile or saved records? The alternatives to eFile or file by mail should be available for each return, selectable in TurboTax work flow.
