Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is very complicated & difficult use It is a standard tax program that is difficult to use and understand, but if you continue to work with it and return to it you will eventually get through to do your taxes sufficiently.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long process with lots of hand-holding They congratulated me for finishing in 1.5 hours, apparently 30 minutes faster than other filers, which is crazy because I also had to submit small business income and expenses and I was already frustrated with how long the it was all taking. This means the process takes waaaay to long for normal taxpayers. I do appreciate that the questions are all in simple layman's terms and it's much easer to parse than the IRS handbook, however, the process could have taken less than an hour if they grouped less common questions on single pages, linked each button/checkbox with their labels (allowing for clicking on labels to check/uncheck selections too), made it simpler to manually add multiple interest/dividend income items without being asked to link an investment account each time, and stopped trying to upsell services at multiple times during the process. I also had a form 1065 prepared through Turbo Tax Business that I was never asked about during the small business portion of my personal income tax return, which was kind of frustrating since all the work that was done to prepare the 1065 wasn't imported or used in any way and I essentially had to enter my small business income/expense info twice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I lost a $303 credit due to Turbo Tax. When it came time to submit my taxes for e-file, Turbo tax would not let me submit due to Form 5695 (2022) because of Qualified fuel cell property costs, which is not applicable to my housing situation. The Turbo Tax message on the screen stated to leave it blank, however, the return would not submit with it blank nor filled out. Thus, I had to remove the Form and loose my $303 credit in order to submit/file my taxes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from could not submit return Turbo Tax would not let me bypass the 0 amount on the second column of the health reporting portion of the program. It is exceedingly frustrating since that is what my form reports correctly. It does not handle exceptional situations well.
