They charged me $40 to have my turbo tax fees paid out of my federal return on top of the cost of the premium account that I was told I HAD to have in order to claim my sold stocks on my return. $265 dollars later I have filed my taxes but I could have spent less using a real accountant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Glitches and crashes and bugs Started with an error box. If I clicked to send it to Turbotax, the program crashed and couldn't be restarted. I had to reinstall by internet (and not use the CD I bought) to launch it again. Last year, it crashed when trying to file my state taxes and wouldn't reopen. It amazes me how crappy this product has become. Why can't it open and work reliably?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Fear - No Stress Prior to using TurboTax, I ABSOLUTELY FEARED preparing my forms, so I paid others to do it. I got burned by a scammer, so I then chose to use TurboTax based on recommendations from friends. I have never looked back. This program is Very Thorough and I recommend it to my friends. I no longer fear or stress at the thought of filing via TurboTax.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax was excellent, but... I have retired military pay from active duty service of 20+ years. TurboTax should have a direct means to add a 1099R for military retired pensions. I was uncomfortable with the convoluted manner TurboTax provided for my military pension.
