The software was user-friendly and guided me through the entire process step-by-step, ensuring that I didn't miss any important details. What I appreciated most about TurboTax was the ability to import my W-2 and other tax documents directly into the system, which saved me a lot of time and hassle. The software also offers helpful tips and explanations along the way, making it easy to understand complex tax concepts. Overall, I had a great experience with TurboTax and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of tax preparation assistance. The software is affordable, reliable, and incredibly convenient. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Buggy Software I have been using TurboTax for many years, at least 13. This years software was the worst I have seen. I cost me to redo my taxes at least 12 times. The beginning without paying software did not match the paid software in the K-1 form 1120S and form 1065. I would like to have understood this and I think I paid several times for the same software. The error messages or review comments were very buggy and would not allow direct correction access. The help area was completely and utterly a waste of time. No way to get to the correct information. There is apparently no direct document input on the actual forms, so could not correct that way. I am fairly sure that the income and tax calculations are incorrect. Wasted an hour or more trying to input a form 2439. Again the help area was completely worthless. Double clicking on a schedule for a V-code error did not work and entering the correct information about 9 times by deleting the form did not work either. I need to associate the income with a Schedule E or no schedule at all and failed in this area 11 times. On the 12th time I tried random data entry and happened on a solution. In this case the K-1 had both rental income and interest income. I have been a computer programmer for many years and was before retirement from the military a senior computer scientist. This software needs to be better tested for all of the errors. Perhaps next year will have better testing. I had to prepare my state return three times because the first two were not saved. I was impossible for many hours to realize that I had entered in K-1s in the free software and again in the paid software and this caused several hours of lost errors trying to locate the errors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The New Version is Awesome TurboTax now utilizes machine learning and mapping to fully extract data from the most complicated and obscure of tax forms. This new technique allows you to check for any errors, but from my experience, it was completely accurate. Additionally, I noticed the tax help or sidebar was much more helpful than previous years. In summary, this was probably the best version of TurboTax that I have ever used and I have used the software for more than 10 years.
