Rated 3 out of 5 by from Constant sales nags, multiple tries to get right In general, it works. But it constants nags for unnecessary up-sell and cross-promotion crap that I don't want. And the "right" claim is usually wrong -- it typically takes 2-3 passes of reviewing the actual forms to get everything right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax is great but I need more explanation. I wouldn't be able to do my own taxes without TurboTax. But while the little popup windows with more information help, I often have to google to find the actual answer to my questions, e.g., how DOES the IRS calculate X? What I'd *really* like, though, is more explanation on what choices TurboTax is making for me based on my answers. For example, if I enter both miles and expenses on a business vehicle, what election(s) is TurboTax making for me on the final form, and what does that election mean, exactly? I would also like a more itemized statement at the end that details how TurboTax arrived at the total tax -- not the worksheets or finding the tax bracket on one page and my AGI on another, but with lines including gross and net taxable amounts and what they comprise.
