Rated 2 out of 5 by from No real Customer Service, Poor for Crypto The software isn't bad, but had to upgrade to premium to process my crypto taxes. Also, needed some answers and the automatic "CPA" help was a bot. Set an appointment with a professional for the next evening and never received the call. I figured out the problem myself. Also, when entering crypto data, once you enter one source for a CSV file, it doesn't let you choose another another source. It assumes they are all from that source, but obviously not all crypto taxes will be processed from the same source. I used TaxBit for most exchanges, but Robinhood is different. Once I selected Robinhood, it wouldn't let me select a different source (Taxbit wasn't even listed, but they provided a tutorial on selectingthe right option on Turbotax) which was complete disregarded on TTax. Also, I tried deleting the entry to see if I could fix this myself, but once you unselect and choose a different source, the Crypto comes up as additional taxable events (if you select) which continues to add tons of pages where you have to go through and select individual taxableevents. It ended up taxing me like 5x what I was supposed to pay. I had to go through and unselect all of the sales that were redundant. So glad I HAD to pay for premium, even though TaxBit did ALL of the work and TurboTax was utterly failing to apply these documents appropriately. Also, they required an EIN from a company I worked for the year before this tax year, which they should have already had since I filed taxes for that year and had included that EIN. This was flagging as an error until I went through every source of 1099 NEC available in the software to figure out what the issue was... what a headache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbotax is so amazing! They helped in so many ways to help me understand and do the right things for my forms. I think anyone that doesn't want to spend lots of money going to more expensive tax filers, should use Turbotax. They are amazing, and there is help when you need it, free or with a membership, you get even more benefits! I love it so much!
