Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax might as well take your whole refund. First of all, turbotax's "free" tax filing is everything except free. God forbid if you're a student filing your taxes because guess what, if you are, you can't add your 1099-T form unless you upgrade to turbotax online deluxe. The real kicker is it's $40 PER TAX RETURN. That means $40 for federal and $40 for state. But wait it gets even better...now if you can get past your free edition of turbotax suddenly costing you $80 you can choose to pay that $80 of free turbotax by deducting it from your overall return. You know because that just makes sense, if you are unfortunate enough to make that mistake guess what, it cost ANOTHER $40 just because you decided to pay the $80 with your tax return. So now your "Free Edition" of turbotax now costs $120...absolute joke, would not recommend turbotax, I'd rather do my taxes with chisel and stone than pay for this garbage.

It was so so for me when i finished the 1st time my amount i owed was $393 but i notice that it had 5 cars on it so i had to go back delete 4 as i did i watched my amount to pay go from 393 to 400 something to $813 i contacted them and i reentered the car info and still the amount i owed waz $500 something. No $813 but still higher than $393. Whatever its done.
