Rated 4 out of 5 by Fix the glitch from Turbo tax has glitches For years, Turbotax hasn't allowed you to specify a bank account to direct deposit a refund on the connecticut state return if you choose not to efile. Also, on the connecticut state return if you choose to determine a tax penalty yourself and choose that you had no tax liability the previous year, once you select that option, there is no way to change that option back to a tax liability the previous year. You have to start the entire federal and state return all over from the beginning.

This year it pulled my W-2 digitally, but instead of acknowledging the address of my employer it tried to use the phone number for the address slot. It put a period in front of a directional address as well, and we're supposed to type it in to the letter correct? So that forced me to rewrite document manually which then showed me having 2 documents being filed (instead of just editing former) and potentially file twice. Thankfully, they did add the ability to scroll through a preview to validate that document; the year prior you would have to click on it to manually check and lose your overall progress going backward so big step in positive there at least! I saw a lot of questions on forums regarding disaster relief vs covid payments ie stimulus and it did not answer them within the program so that is something to add info wise if people wanted to ask. The program was still overall very good this year but pushier then last in regards to not scrolling down to the bottom of page (asking if you wanted to log out or stay filing). If you put information at the bottom or near bottom of the scrollable page, PLEASE do not try to close a user out. All of these issues I did not encounter last year when I filed manually. So unfortunately, I will have to drop from 5 stars to 4 for an overall good experience. Still tremendously easier then doing it yourself and I will always appreciate that.

When i got to the end to pay for the fees that are automatic, they have added a premium service fee to my order that I never okayed with no way to get removed. Completely ridiculous I have been using TurboTax for 8 years and now I am definitely thinking about using another service next year this continues to happen and its crap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JD123123123 from Mostly easy to use I had trouble with a blank box on my W2 that kept getting flagged. The question mark said it was okay to leave it blank if my W2 was blank. It needs to state "type NONE". The tax expert was very helpful and got me through it.
