Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than a tax accountant Would be nice if TurboTax Business could estimate SE tax as you go. Also explanations of tax situations could be explained better, perhaps with links to the actual line item of the IRS instructions form.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Forces me to choose paid product I don't wan or ne It worked well the first year but now automatically forces me to use turbotax live without any way to opt out of the extra $80 charge when I don't need live service. I have a simple return with the same info as last year! No live advice needed. And no response from customer service line or from the so called live chat. I may make a complaint. I did not use live and don't want to pay extra when you advertise free filling!

I became stuck in a “do loop” whereas the program kept on bringing up an issue that I could not move forward until resolved. I was on the phone with Shirley for quite some time she was baffled by the program not allowing us to move forward until she came up with a brilliant idea which resolved the issue. I would not have been able to file without her help. Thank you Shirley

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First year with a problem I have been using TurboTax for many years. This the first year I ever had an issue. During the final check of my state return, it kept returning me to start my state return again. This was a process that I was not able to finalize. I hope the state review was okay. After 1 correction on my federal, that return was fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Everything Works Well Have been using Turbotax since 1988. Generally the software worked great. I had three glitches, two where the boxes on the 1099 forms did not match the Turbotax worksheet. I did not note the names of the forms, sorry. the third problem was my insurance was in a 1095-B, and Turbotax appeared to only accept a 1095-A. One other glitch was that somewhere between the federal and state forms, Turbotax decided I had sold my house, and the state form demanded to know the address of the sold house. There was no sold house, but I was unable to proceed until I filled in the address box, stating that "no house was sold." As I played brinksmanship and completed my taxes the day before the deadline, I really appreciated that it almost worked.
