Rated 5 out of 5 by from Filer Friendly Turbo Tax I have used Turbo Tax to file for MANY years. It continues to become more user friendly all the time. I love the suggestions throughout the filing process. The option to upgrade your plan as the need becomes apparent it a bonus! (no need to start all over again!) Having the security that my personal information is securely store for the next year is a load off my mind!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from First Time Filer, Used Turbotax and still alive I completely take accountability for being a first time filer and with more to learn regarding finances and taxes at large. I must say representative Maurisha with TurboTax customer service was helpful and patient with me, so I am thankful for that; and even learned something new from her. I do believe there was a lack of communication with Turbo Tax to customers (as a first time filer (self-employed)) which lacked to state there was a cost for the filing self-employed, and only after going through the timely task of putting so much information in was I made aware that there was a fee for filing self-employed that my type of filing, though I clicked on free filing and do not recall mention of any additional fee. Basically, the uppercut of a filing fee was not expected, and to have been made aware of the fee to file federal and state would have been helpful, as opposed to seeing the number owed in taxes grow, think that is the total amount to be paid, but then Turbo Tax has its unstated fee. Ultimately, the transparency of the total amount a person is paying (Turbotax fees and tax fees) being posted together to know the total amount as more information is added and numbers are moving up and down can be helpful to know the TOTAL amount of money one is expected to pay.
