Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK, gets the job done Tax prep companies have been charging exorbitant amounts of money lately to file taxes, and since I prep my kids' taxes on Turbo Tax, I gave it a try. The info boxes were helpful, however speaking with a live accountant in real time does not seem feasible. Overall, I would use it again.

But the lady that did help me was the only reason you even get a star we are all struggling and you still manage to take from us.

I had first used the online version which is a more user-friendly interface before deciding to buy via Costco to get a better price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Been using TurboTax successfully since 1984 I have been using TurboTax since 1984. Each year it just keeps getting better and better. Make sure you save your return out of your computer on independent media. One year my computer crashed and I had to reload the previous year's returns manually.

I tried from the very beginning to use the free option, and thought I was using the free option, and it still charged me $160 something to file taxes, which I had to pay in. When I tried to speak with an agent to help me file free, it tried to charge me to use that, so I was stuck paying $160 on top of the $1600 some odd dollars I had to pay in to the feds... I do not recommend. This is STUPID!
