Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax Limitations I find TurboTax to be unnecessarily repetitive and tedious. To get to a hypothetical part C, you have to run through all of parts A and B again to get there. Or if you take a break and restart, you have to run through a bunch of things you already filled out. Constantly this happens. Also if there are any issues submitting your return (like I had last year and this year - no fault of TurboTax), you are not dealing with a human being who can help you get through. You're given clues, but you're mainly on your own.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating glitches plagued it when filing. Worked fine until the end review before submitting. Got a repeat error message regarding Charitable Contributions. No help at all. Online, LOTS of angry users and TurboTax representatives admitting it's a software error - but then offering "work arounds." Many of the comments were from FEBRUARY & here it is MAY and no fixes. Ridiculous for a paid product to help. But after having to flub the system and remove some money (which added $120 more to our owed amount), the system let me e-file. Prior to that, the glitch said we could "File by paper mail" or "return to the tax return and reset the amount" - which was impossible! Will look for another Tax Filing option in 2021.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax 2020... epic disappointment I've used TurboTax for years. This year it would not import my 2019 data (from the same computer used last year). After I paid for my second state e-filing, I received an error message saying that my file had not been saved and could not be filed electronically... this was after I'd already electronically filed my Federal forms and taxes for another state. I found Schedule C terminology confusing/different from the previous year and since my prior year data wouldn't import I had to compare it to my PDF of last year's return to extrapolate. And no, it would not import the PDF either. For whatever reasons, I did not find alternating between EasyStep and forms as seamless and dependable as it was in year's past. Maybe I'm dreaming of some imaginary perfect scenario, but I seem to remember being able to move back and forth from an exact location in either format, rather than having to scan through the whole forms list. Oh well...
