Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax Used to be awesome Ive used turbotax free edition for several years now but this year was different, you guys are really making it difficult to use the free edition. It seemed like every other page was telling me to upgrade. Why? so I can pay you $39 to get an extra $15 credit on my return? this was my actual situation and declining this extra $15 deduction was not an option as it was either upgrade to the paid version or completely restart my refund from the beginning and make sure I didnt fall into that same trap which is what I ended up doing. The "speedfile" is a joke. the timer said it took me 36 minutes when in reality it took close to 3 hours.
