Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax needs some housecleaning for 5 stars The areas for HSA (filing jointly) need more explanation-very confusing when both parties have their own HSAs and TurboTax believes that one of you has become disabled. Area where the 1099-INT form is hidden needs better clues to locate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo tax is in need of a redesign This was the first time I every filed my taxes on my own and turbo tax was very compelling at first do to their easy to use nature. I had sold some stock last year and due to that I was charged for turbo tax premium, as I was rushing I didn't read much of the fine print. I was unaware that pressing yes once and no twice was not only going to cost me $59 dollar but due to TurboTax's ridiculous and unclear design I was never really informed about the purchase of $183 dollars I was about to make until I had already payed for it. I am a college student and made less than $5000 last year and I don't have the money to spend on taxes. While I know few will see this due to the system that shows poor reviews very rarely to new users I hope this will at least e seen by someone at Turbo Tax that truly wants to help those who don't know a thing about taxes look at other online markets and look at there clear spreadsheet given to the buyer right before purchase. The "simplicity" of Turbo Tax has become the thing that has made it more complicated to use. This website is designed for speed and simplicity and it does a fantastic job of that, but because of this it has one fatal flaw. Those who use this website fail to pay attention to what they are doing and because of this many people fall for the same (what seems like a) trap I did. Thank you for your time and goodbye until these changes are made then and only then will I return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost too easy! I love this method. I do keep up with my paperwork throughout the year and a spreadsheet. All I have to do is log on and fill in the blanks. I did have a data entry error but was able to rectify it before the representative called to assist. I used them several years now. It's "somewhat" simple to do and I am of limited intelligence. Its a much better experience than I've had with CPA's and less expensive.
