Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is a life saver I went through the quetions and didn't need to ask for help. Everything went smooth. It took a while because I went slow to make sure I didn't make any mistakes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from RSU sale to cover cause error that block e-file. I imported the 1099-B forms in TurboTax Mac version. One of the1099-B is for vesting RSU sale to cover tax. I followed the instructions and reference to the online TT community. When I ran the SmartCheck, I got this error "RSU Row 25 column C vesting date cannot be later than date sold" got all my RSU transactions. I search TT support and user community and there are other users experienced the same problem. As stated by one of the users, TT will not e-file with this error. Several users point out that the vested dates are correct and it seems to be a bug in TT. The latest updated was posted 4 days before the 2020 deadline. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/investments-and-rental-properties/discussion/rsu-vesting-date-error/00/1841924 I did not want to print the 130+ pages tax return and mail it and debug the generated Form "Employee Stock Transaction Worksheet" and "Capital Gain (Loss) Adjustments Worksheet" generated by the import. There are several issues with the generated worksheet, for example, the company name in the form does not match and I got "Not company stock" in the company name. Eventually, I deleted all imported 1099-B and re-enter manually and examinated the generated worksheets. The problem was fixed and I can e-file my tax return.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from zero support - phone/chat or otherwise I mistakenly agreed to get live support as I had a question, after waiting 30 min, I gave up, but they still charged me for it. I called to have them refund me but it was over an hour wait on the phone to talk to anyone - what a joke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Turbo Tax Turbo Tax was super easy to use for both my Federal and State Taxes

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Last time I buy Turbo Tax Turbo tax used to include 1 free state e-file with the purchase of Turbo Tax. Jokes on me for not reading the fine print. I shouldn't have to pay an extra 25 after paying 40 dollars up front for the deluxe version. If I'm going to pay 65, might as well go see a real person and support my local businesses...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very confusing and redundant this is not very user friendly and it becomes more confusing because it repeats the same screens to check and recheck

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbotax Fail with Selling Inherited Home Each year thousands of people inherit a home when a loved one passes away and end up selling it but Turbotax still has no dedicated page to this life experience. And a search of their own forums offers many different answers on how to deal with a 1099-S on the sale of an inherited home. Their own experts have us listing it as investment income and entering the information in a clunky way on a screen designed for a 1099-B. If not for that my rating would be higher but I find myself disappointed. The cost of Turbotax Home and Business is $99. The cost to have CPA's do my taxes locally is $200. Next year I may opt for the CPA's because I ended up buying Audit Defense since I'm so unsure about those entries for the sale of the inherited home. Step up Intuit and fix that so others won't have to suffer with the same frustration and anxiety.
