Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expect a Learning Curve I used TurboTax Home & Business for the first time, and filed electronically. There IS a learning curve to this, so it will not be a time saver the first time around. The forms look amazing, though, and the numbers get crunched and placed properly and efficiently. Try it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EZ Tax Filing I have used turbotax for a number of years. We owned rental property and had a part-time home business. The program effectively handled all or our needs. Much less expense than an accountant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chock full of bugs - terrible Full of bugs - example, we sold our primary home in 2022 that we've been living in continuously for the last 20 years and that had less than 200k in capital gains. Went thru the turbotax process and your "genius" program says we owe capital gains tax. Absolutely incorrect. Absolutely terrible. Have double check your program against tax law. You should spend more money on R&D and software quality assurance testing and less on sales/marketing. Another thing - can't efile state taxes bc your website keeps rejecting credit card payment. Example search "turbotax 123 main st" on google and look at all the users reporting problems. Can't believe this bug has been going on for years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why Can't I Download My Tax Statements? I bought TurboTax Business because I have now have trusts to manage from an estate inheritance. I've been using TurboTax for my personal returns for years and was very satisfied. I can download tax statements from financial institutions for my personal tax return, and it saves me a great deal of time. For the much more expensive TurboTax Business product, there is no download function, so I was required to type in my 1099-DIV, 1099-B and stock sale information line by line. It makes no sense that one TurboTax product can download, and another cannot. Otherwise, I was generally happy with the product as it walked me through a more difficult tax form than I am used to. My one other complaint is that there is no single product that will allow me to prepare both my personal taxes and my trust taxes. It seems like there should be an all-in-one option for people who need to file trust taxes as well as personal taxes.
