Rated 2 out of 5 by from No free = 2 star The service is fine, works as marketed etc. But I've been using turbotax for nearly a decade and now I go from free filings to almost 200 dollars. Not okay. Very expensive. But it does what its advertised to do so I can't give it a one star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like TurboTax, but some things are confusing I have used TurboTax for years now. I like using it and have never had a problem with any of my returns. I am in business for myself and like how it works seamlessly with Quickbooks Self Employed. In general, filing was smooth and easy. But this year, I had to fill out several additional schedule forms. Filling out these forms was confusing and difficult. I was asked questions that it was hard to find on the forms, and several questions for which I could find no definitions of the terms that were used. Also, I have no idea how to drop a car that I sold 2 years ago. I did not use it at all in 2022, so it should not figure into my 2022 taxes. Still, I had to fill out a schedule pertaining to use of that car. I could not figure out how to delete it.

They have become more challenging with increased time taken to prepare them, until I became exhausted every tax season. I switched to TurboTax last year and will continue to use, saving time and energy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hidden Fees, Unable to Downgrade Input is easy. However, like a business out to make money, they do so very well. Full of hidden fees. And if you upgrade, you CANNOT downgrade without clearing out ALL of your progress. Live Chat/Call Back is incredibly glitchy (hence the reason I wanted to downgrade). Ultimately, I would say go somewhere else unless you are already deep into the Intuit experience/commitment.
