Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike from Mass from TurboTax improving each year but still some quirks TT has improved on the situation where you fill out a lot of information and then in the end, it is not applicable (e.g health care expenses it now tells you not bother unless greater than X). More of this please. A lot of the help was not great. I had to google separately on many occasions. Inherited book royalties always ends up being confusing. The analysis of why has improved, but there is still a lot of potential for forward looking education.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
