Rated 2 out of 5 by SmallBusinessMay from so easy to use, but hits wallet hard The service is so simple and really helpful...but for folks like myself who own a business and do side contract work, the cost is absolutely outrageous to file taxes. $180?! I only get tiny returns due to my business/contract work each year and having to file 1099s and this takes half of my return every time. Please cater more to the little people. I work a regular FULLTIME job and have these side jobs...but I barely see a lick of refund after I pay the service fees. Something more reasonable would be nice...heck, I'd be happy to pay $50 , but $180 is too much, especially for an automated system.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
