Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Best I've Seen, BUT Cumbersome to Use 1) to review what you have entered for one entry you must browse multiple frames when one frame could easily present all the answers 2) step-by-step did not give me an opportunity to apply my refund to my 1040-ES payment t. I was forced to go into the Form 1040 and brute force it to accept my option, and then it would not allow me to cut and paste the obvious amount. I had to key it. That option should be the default. 3) Turbo Tax suggested I might be eligible for EIC, then walked me into multiple frames w/o tell the criteria for eligibility and then decided I was not eligible. If it thought I might be eligible, why ask if I want to look and see? Cut to the chase... ask the key questions it doesn't know about my eligibility. 4) Somewhere about that time my projected refund dropped $42 and for the life of me I cannot think of any changes that were made to the data previously entered. I noticed another user with a similar issue. 5) Sometime back i suggested that the state tax handling for TN was an infinite loop. No improvement has been made. Tennessee has no income tax and no software to download. And Turbo Tax knows that. Yet we Tennesseans must watch out for the trapdoor that drops us into the loop. I would like to see a list of suggestions for improvement that TurboTax has received and is working on or has chosen not to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had Problems...But the Help Staff were Excellent! Pros...Chat help and Telephone Help were friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with during the final hours of the 18th. Quick responses were a surprise, and greatly appreciated. Able to e-file this year when using Form 8995, rather than having to print and mail. Cons...This years On-Line Self Employed had a few quirks. Help did not work, as well as, it usually does. Some Values did not populate the summary screen, on the first try. Re-entering information sometimes created a loop problem. But all in all, I love TurboTax. I have used Intuit Products for 30 years. And will continue to be a loyal customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't file for extension online There are several free ways to file for extension online, so one would expect that software you paid $60 would at least do that. But no. I go through the menus, get it all ready and the only option at the end is to PRINT and go to post office to mail. This is 2022!!!! Helllo?!!?!? Oh, and you can't download data/forms from Chase Brokerage anymore when using desktop version. Supposedly it works with the online Turbotax. Jeez! Update: After trying posting this brief review I got error message that I have to disable my ad blocker to post a review. Are you serious?!?!?!? Removing one star from the overall product rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Preferred Tas Software for Over 20 Years The continuity from year to year is good, but it seems as though there are always a few issues that should have been avoided. Filing at the end of the 2021 tax year season, I'm disappointed that confusion is introduced with "e-file" numbers appearing on software, even though they are not used in 2021 filing by the IRS.
