Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is okay, but does answer many Questions I had a lot of questions regarding education expenses and deductions for two children in college that TurboTax wasn't very clear with answering. I had to do a lot of outside research when the numbers didn't add up comparing out-of-pocket costs, 529 distributions (1099-Q), and college statements, vice college 1099-T statements. My outside research netted my an additional $2900 in federal tax return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unnecessary Evil I find it slightly less difficult than manually entering all of the information on a paper form, but only because the interface guides me. Is it worth spending $120 for a "free" service so I can pay taxes (I don't get a refund, and I never qualify for free filing)? Maybe, but it always leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Problem filing property taxes not listed on 1098 If taxes are paid by me and not my financial institution you form does not allow me to go back to my mortgage information and change that info. Since my mortgage institution does not pay my taxes and it’s not on my 1098, your form does not have a place for me to list it. I tried to return to mortgage information and list it on that part but I can not return to that portion on the tax form.
