Called helpline and agent was able to resolve the issue. 2) I never could find where to confirm my uploaded 1099-B documents. I uploaded all 1099-B docs but TurboTax is telling me I need to also mail them in. Form 8949 already shows my supporting documents are attached, but the instructions say to mail Form 8453 along with form 8949. I am not doing that, since I already attached supporting documents for my Schedule D transactions to be electronically filed with my return.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
