I've been filing with turbo tax for nearly a decade and no issues, until the state decides not to send you something, and it messes up a return and turbo tax doesn't allow you to file. When I got the piece needed to finish filing turbo tax would not let me file it, so my 2021 return has gone unfiled. When attempting to call or email for a solution, it never goes through. The calls just immediately hang up. Very good until you actually need help, then absolutely horrible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Expensive It works but the only reason I have kept using TurboTax is because it's an easy place to store previous years of info. From just filling the standard deduction I'm not sure I see this as worth the 178 bucks required versus filling out some paper forms myself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Charged Highest Package Amount I was charged the Self-Employed rate (a $30 up-charge) despite not being self-employed and meeting the Premier package criteria. Looking at rates at competitors, not only is Turbo Tax the highest cost for Federal and State returns, but I would also be charged based on the complexity of my taxes so I would not be charged the max rate like at Turbo Tax. I’ve filed with TurboTax for many years, but unfortunately I am done throwing money away.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I started out wanting help. Once I put my personal info in I changed my mind before I started with my actual taxes. Which ment I elected not to pay the extra 129.00 dollars. Well there was no possible way to do that I had to pay the extra money. I didn't use the tax advice and still was charged the 129 I even back all the way out of the program to try and start over it wouldn't allow me to do so. Extremely disappointed that I couldn't so I donated 129 to turbo tax and didn't get nothing for it.
