Rated 3 out of 5 by from Glitchy state payment (otherwise 5 stars) Last year while filing my 2021 return, I set up a direct payment from my checking account to pay my state tax due. The payment didn't get made as I scheduled it, and I didn't notice until months later when I got a late notice (with penalty). This year, at the end of filing my 2022 return, I also set up a direct payment from my bank to pay for the state taxes due. Then I was directed to print and mail in the required form - which was a payment coupon that typically would be sent in with the payment. I'm very confused and unsure if my bank payment will be made, and/or what I need to do with this coupon. But this year I'll keep a much closer eye on it. Seems like Turbo Tax and the state of Indiana need to get on the same page.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbotax Teases Help with Local Uploading pics of paper forms is a nice addition since we last used TT about 7 years ago. Still hit a brick wall at the municipal tax situation. I might as well ask my kids to get the crayons out. Lots of upsell. Audit defense? Great. Identity theft protection? Racket. Credit karma as default rather than straight up direct deposit? Ick.
