Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great, needs better Amended instructions Overall TurboTax is awesome, however each year there is something that usually trips me up and may or may not be found in the user Help comments which are not always reliable (can TurboTax monitor them more and insert comments?). For example, this year I had to do amended taxes, and after my returns were processed, I went back into TurboTax to do the amended taxes. That went OK until it was time to submit them, a popup with my Federal amended return came up which I printed, signed and, following the instructions from TurboTax, mailed at the post office. Then did the state (CA) one electronically. However after all that, in closing out TurboTax found that it wanted me to submit the Federal one again electronically too, which I did, then it had me print out a Voucher to include in the postal mail, but I had already mailed all the forms TurboTax had me print out! Why didn't those form instructions (and the app) tell me to NOT mail until the VOUCHER was printed to include? So now I'm wondering if my Amended return will have problems at the IRS.... Not a good feeling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too many data mismatches for federal retirees Turbo Tax asks for information that is not contained on my two federal retiree 1099R forms. Then it continuously insists I enter W2 data, but I no longer have any W2 since I retired.
