Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest way to file taxes Have been using TT for years now, and it's just so easy, even filing jointly with my wife, and me being self-employed as a Realtor. So far, I would not do it any other way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible for divorced people IMPOSSIBLE to obtain last year’s info, thus I can’t file. TurboTax made me create a new account because I got divorced and I’m no longer filing jointly. As a result I can’t access my prior returns which means I can’t access the information I need to file my current returns. Of course the bad TurboTax software then requires that I get stuck in an endless loop of trying to file this year‘s taxes without being able to just access last year‘s returns, even when logged into the previous account.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax was annoying and very difficult to use I have used Turbotax for many years and found it very annoying this year. Every other screen is an attempt to get the user to purchase MAX right up to the end. Trying to pay without paying 69 dollar fee drove me nuts. The format and language seem purposely designed to get the user to choose a credit card method and pay a fee. The online help is a joke. The robot had no information and it was impossible to use. Online help in other years was much better. It appears that you have dumbed it down to force the purchase of payed help.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sketchy, upselling, misleading with dark patterns First, finding the free version was a nightmare. I had to go to a third party site to find a link to the free version, which is legally mandated. Then, without my consent or awareness, it locked me into the paid version of the product, which I didn't discover until checkout. All the while, it tried to trick me into consenting to give away my personal information to their advertisers and upgrade my plan to their most premium versions. I will be looking into alternatives next year.
