Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was not expecting a dated desktop experience I've used turbo tax for years and when I saw the deal at Costco, I jumped on it. However, rather than giving me a code to redeem online, i had to download software I haven't seen for 5+ years. I'm sure the quality of the return is the same, but what a hassle to download, set everything up, and not be able to pause and start my return from a different device. Felt like I was back in the 2000s. Why is the web product and the desktop product completely different? I'll never buy it in person ever again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No chance to import last years TT file!! There was no chance to import my last years TT file which is on my computer. That always made it much easier. I have used TT for at least 10 years and the software always locates my former returns. It was very frustrating not being able to see the return as I went along.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rejected fed returns efiling for the second year. The IRS kept rejecting the return. TT said it was the AGI from 2020, I had to paper file in 2020 and after creating an IRS account. I confirmed my AGI was correct. No other reasons were given. Whiat I found is I had an ID protect pin, whish is a buried entry under "other". I entered my ID protect pin and changed my wifes AGI to zero and it was finally accepted. That's way too much trial and error to figure it out on my own., I've been using TT for years and all my prior returns are on the same device. I have no idea why they could not provide better help for rejected by the IRS reasons.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax is too much for students. Love the ease and flow of completion however I am unimpressed that the employees are unable to adjust the levels of tax preparation charges. I am a medical student with no job and was charged over $140 which is a bit ridiculous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and User Friendly I have used TurboTax for years using the CD version. This was my first year using the online version and it was very easy once I figured out how to transfer my tax data from the 2021 file.
