Rated 3 out of 5 by from Struggles with Ohio Form 37 Federal and Ohio returns are fine, but the tool should not even offer to file Form 37 (RITA - Regional Income Tax Agency), because it doesn't request any of the required information to fill it out, and when it is reviewing the results and asking you to put in the info, it doesn't even go in order by rows in each section, it jumps all over the place. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to remove the form from my return.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems simple but can be confusing I have used Turbo Tax for years - for my family and myself. This year - it just seems more difficult. When the system identifies a "miss" or "mistake" in your return, it circles you back to fix things but it doesn't always show you how to fix it or where to fix it. Only says "let's fix this" and then you have to search for where and how to fix it, in the search bar. The system doesn't automatically take you there. One task told me I needed to enter "0" for vehicle usage in a 6 month period. Over and over again. I would type the "0" into the window on the screen but it wouldn't update. I eventually figured out that I needed to open up my expenses, find the vehicle, manually remove the information completely, and then proceed. It wasn't even accurate. I did use the vehicle during that 6 month period but the system wouldn't let me claim that I had so I just added the miles to the previous 6 month period. Doesn't make sense and I wasted a lot of valuable time trying to respond to the prompts to "fix" without direction. For over $200, I think I shouldn't have to pay for the right to ask a pro why the system is glitching.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm liking Turbotax less every year Turbotax is easy to use, but I'm annoyed that they keep gouging us for more and more money. They won't allow me to use the free version anymore and they charge to use my refund for fees. It's bad enough my taxes have gone up, and for the last three years Turbotax has made it worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax is Tried and True Terrific Been using TurboTax for YEARS!! ...better every year (albeit $$$ with a la carte fees that are understandable and justified, I suppose) Easy. Convenient. User Friendly. Accurate. Therefore Trusted.

I had questions about a 1099-G form and the chat session took over an hour with no resolution. What a waste of time. I hope the chat history is saved so I have her comments regarding my return should I ever be audited by the IRS. I am also paying the extra money to Turbo Tax in the event that happens, but my experience this year leaves me with very little confidence.
