Purchased the software from Costco instead of doing it all on line, but was unable to transfer all of my information from TurboTax into the software. Instead of wasting my time manually inputting all of the information TurboTax has had for over 8 years, I chose to use the online version, which cost me not only the cost of the software, but the price to use online. Yes, this was my decision and my fault for assuming TurboTax would be able to communicate with itself through different platforms. Now I'm out $80 (plus the money to use online filing) but at least I didn't have to spend an hour moving my info over. Another issue this year is I had to actually manually search for my rental information. Normally TurboTax holds my hand and walks me through to make sure nothing has changed. It was a bit frustrating since I'm used to it being so simple. I actually had to work this year and know something about filing. Normally with TurboTax, anyone can file with confidence. I'm not feeling confident this year, but one year out of almost 20 isn't bad... even though I have much more to lose than I did when I first started filing with TurboTax.
