Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax is harder than one may think I'm happy to have used TurboTax but you get the impression that filing taxes is easier than it really is. Not everything is explained. Perhaps I should have used the option of talking to an agent on TurboTax. I also think that TurboTax should charge you after you file, not before.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The fee structure is ridiculous Forcing me to buy a massively more expensive package just because I have a little dividend income is pretty crazy. Not to mention I don't find out about that until basically the end. Not psyched about that. Also, it's not clear that there is an additional fee for taking the current fee directly out of the return. Should be clearer. And lastly, the fee for state and federal is just confusing and odd. It's way more than it should be and it's impossible to not do it because then you're filing somewhere else separately, where you probably should have done your entire return to begin with. Maybe you guys are making so much money in the short term it really doesn't matter, I'm sure it's one of the highest margin businesses in the history of capitalism (big shoutout to regulatory capture) but I'm not using it next year no matter what, since I don't trust it anymore. Maybe something to think about, idk.

There was ISSUE in the stock dividend & the estate annuity and you are so intent upon collecting a fee for E filing my state taxes that the program wouldn't allow me to print my state returns. After 10+ years of using this software, going back to the Apple days, this is absolutely the worst program yet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax Business support improved but still bugs While still the best solution for trust filings, there are still errors uncorrected from prior years - Schedule E does not properly aggregate multiple properties. Like Kind exchanges are hidden and once you do an initial run on step by step, you cannot get back to step by step. QBI components are still a mystery. If TurboTax had a beta program I would volunteer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use software The only thing I will say, I have one of the most simple tax situations in the US as I am retired and have little deductions, so TT goes the Std. dedcution route. The only problem is their cost keeps going up every year and has almost reached a point where I will just get it done locally. So even though they file the 1040-Senior form, they don't take that into account with their pricing.
