Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unnecessary and Expensive Filings I received a 1099-MISC from a previous employer as my final paycheck. THIS IS NOT SELF-EMPLOYMENT. There is no need for a Schedule C or to enter expenses. If this is how your program wants to enter my income that's fine. But it won't let me fix any of the issues. It keeps bringing me back to the same page and won't let me enter the info it wants. I'm using a different software nextyear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a lifesaver I had spent at least 6 weeks trying to do a 1041 for a trust and how to answer questions related to the trust on a personal return. I called Turbotax and explained my problem. She patiently worked backwards and told me what I needed to do. She suggested I buy the TurboTax for Business to complete the 1041 return for the trust. It was amazing! In less than 2 hours, I had filled in all the blanks and had all the forms I needed and was ready to efile the return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax has deteriorated I have used you for years but it is probably time for me to move on. This year I was surprised to find that I had to pay extra for filing one state tax return and then pay again to e-file that return. The download of data from Schwab failed to include three municipal bond funds. And there was no phone help available when I edited a downloaded 1099R with a note about the effect of my form 8606 resulting in a link to form 4852 which resulted in my not being able to e-file my twice paid-for state return. And if you are going to charge $25 PLUS TAX to file a purchased state return you should combine the charges and disclose the total amount in the first place. We can always go to the California FTB to use their free software and filing as I will do in the future.
