Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax Premier is good if you know tax rules TurboTax premier desktop/download has some good features like carrying over the previous year's personal info, capital gain losses, etc. I also like the 5 year history summary sheet showing income, taxable income, etc. to compare over time. BUT it would be nice to see that kind of summary for the State tax as well. If you don't know tax rules or definitions, you could inadvertently make a mistake due to how some of the questions are worded. For example, if you moved IRA money to your Roth, the two questions made it hard for me to decide which to select. The first time I selected rollover to another IRA (e.g. my Roth IRA). I had to go back and choose that I used the IRA distribution for cash out or other, but it did not include the word CONVERSION which is what I actually did. So it would be helpful to change the wording to make it more clear. question 1 should read rollover to another TRADTIONAL IRA, 401k, etc but not to a ROTH IRA question 2 should include cash out, CONVERSION to Roth IRA, or other. Other improvements would be A. to allow me to select and copy some of the info boxes or help text so I can save it to a document or email for myself for when I come back to continue using TurboTax. B. I could not find how to enlarge the font/text of some of the information and the text help boxes. Some screens have the font large small choices but not all. And my Windows 11 Scroll key + mouse roller did not increase font size either. C. PLEASE please place the Continue button further left and higher up on the screen so I don't have to scroll to find the continue button /back buttons. Also if moved further left, I can reduce the screen size of the TurboTax pages so i can simultaneously have open my digital 1099s, W2s, deduction excel sheets, etc. so I can copy and paste back and forth without having to resize TurboTax screen when I want to continue. D. PLEASE make the TurboTax text questions WRAP when the user reduces the width of the TurboTax screen (so we can see our own data sheets we are looking at to cut and paste numbers from). Right now if I reduce the width of the TT screen, it cuts off the Continue button and some of the questions. E. Put more data entry on each page of TT, like the followup questions. F. Why does the Intuit webpage come up when I click on the IRS publication help link? Very annoying. G. Let me print the Help or more info box info. I have to screen print them to save the info for later use. Thanks. H. After I completing taxes and efiling, I went back later to print some things and learned there were UPDATES to TT. I would really like to see what changes were made and if they affected my return!!!! And please email me if there is an update a month later and if I need to file an amended return! I. The TurboTax State of IL return needs more help links and more definitions available, and examples.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The timer is a bad idea! Turbo Tax's new feature of a timer counting how long it takes to do your return is a bad idea I wish wasn't there. It introduced pressure on me to hurry the return, and in doing so, I made a mistake necessitating me to file an amended return. I would have saved me time and money if it hadn't been there or I could have disabled the clock. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is the best I had a problem with finding last years tax form and the customer service was helpful. Very Helpful I forgot to write down my sign-on info from last year. Needed to act like a new customer. Couldn't retrieve it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My bad experience with TurboTax Deluxe 2022 I was not able to submit my Tax Return using the electronic filing method. After five unsuccessful attempts I have given up. All my efforts to verify AGI, IP pins and correct the issue were fruitless. The required previous year AGI was checked against 2021 filling, two types of IRS records with no results. Each time I received email from Intuit telling: "IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database" and promising help to correct the problem. Three evening were lost fighting with this buggy but expensive software.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax works It used to be that once you had several donations in the list you could tap the top of the column and sort them alphabetically. I usually have multiple donations that I have made during the year and stick them in the tax folder. Now it looks like I will have to spend additional time sorting all of my donations.
