Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rip off The only reason we're hostage to TurboTax's fees are because they lobby non-stop to prevent the tax filing process from becoming easy so they could create an artificial oligopoly.

The ability to import forms makes the process very easy as you'll only just have to actually review information rather than sort through and enter it manually. Any questions you could possibly have always has a little "?" prompt that you can click that will open a side window that explain it to you as clearly as possible, and it seems that information is constantly updated as well as you can see the review/update date next to it. My only recommendation to make this website better is to please add Navy Federal Credit Union to the banking institutions that you can import information from; considering that NFCU holds probably at least half if not more than the current US military's bank accounts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from found additional problems Downloading from Merrill 1099-OID was imported twice and showed up as taxable interest on schedule B. this was related to tax exempt bonds and there was premium that was not picked up anywhere in the download. took a while to figure our how to correct for the multiple problems this created.
