Questions are being asked in the software that the normal "tax filer" might not necessarily know or understand.In addition, I am tired of paying for the extra fees. A State filing should be free!! Period! I am fine paying for the Audit Defense but TT charges way too many other fees! I am considering using something else for next year.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
