I find that the way it walks me through each step makes filing a return amazingly easy. UX (user experience) design isn't easy and clearly TT has invested a lot in getting it right. TT needs to be clear that this tool is free to lower-income filers. Do good!

And then I don't have an option to file certain things for free which is not fair. I am not a happy person when it comes to your programs. Next time you should help with a consumer out.

If you have a simple tax return, you can file for free yourself with TurboTax Free Edition, or you can file with TurboTax Live Assisted Basic or TurboTax Live Full Service Basic at the listed price.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
