Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive I should have a very simple tax return as a young adult, renting and only having one source of income from an employer. Ridiculous that I have to pay $177 including two state filing fees which is more than my tax return of $129. Only reason why I had to upgrade to "deluxe" was due to my HSA--that shouldn't put me over having to owe money not because of my taxes but because I used your guys' "free" software.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Annoying stumbles, but gets it done While it covers almost every use case, it has some annoying issues. For example, twice on this return, data was imported incorrectly. It checks that a zip code matches a state, but only allows you to correct the zip code when it identifies an issue; in my case, the state was incorrect. I had a similar issue where one box must be smaller than the other, and I could only correct one of them. In both cases, I had to delete the entire form import entry and start over.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbo tax is good for beginners Good software. I like how they can download W-2's and financial information. However a lot of repeated questions. And way too expensive. Simple Fed and State return with tax is nearly $200. It used to be free.

It does help to have some basic knowledge of necessary forms and tax requirements for more complicated returns. Thank you for providing this great program to let us file from the comfort of our own home.

However, we ran into an issue and contacted the support team via chat. While they were responsive, they did not provide good guidance, which called into question how much tax knowledge the customer service team has
