Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the job done... barely We have a pretty simple taxable income, only W2s, but from two different states from where we live. The software doesn't always fill in the state income forms for the non-resident states correctly - nor understand reciprocity. The system estimated it would take 1 hour and 39 minutes to complete our federal and state taxes, but it took 3 hours and 4 minutes due to the edits needed after it checked our returns. The cost doesn't seem to align with the value received.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is very useful and easy to understand. I did not speak to a representative, but the app was great without any help. I just thought it was a little expensive since I didn't receive any professional help and I put all the information in myself. Still a great app though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from too many upsells and they charge $39 pay/wrefund Good enough as helping prepare taxes goes. Nice that it actually worked connecting to my financial institution -- other tax software almost always fails. But, they charge $125 to do my basic taxes just because I have dividend income. Hardly a reason to charge that much. And what was worse is they charged $39 for allowing me to pay with my refund. That wasn't obvious to me at the moment or I'd never have picked it. Unacceptable charge without it being very clear they are going to take that large of a fee.
