Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax disappoints re getting Binance crypto Binance has a Tax API, but I could not find that TurboTax can use it. Binance cannot produce a TXF file either (only a useless CSV file). I needed to pay extra to Koinly, which can use the Binance tax API to extract the needed data and then produce a TXF file that TurboTax can use. If Koinly (and similar services) can extract data from the APIs of many exchanges, why is TurboTax not able to do the same?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible. Atrocious. Anything beyond a W-2 leads to a circular, non-helpful series of questions clearly meant to prompt you to pay more money for a fancier version of this "service."

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Service, But For This Cost? The site and all they have to offer make filing from your home pretty easy. My major complaint, however, is the pricing. I was initially told this would be $119, but then while checking out discovered that did NOT include a state tax file, which would be an extra $59. I really wish I could rate the service higher because it's genuinely good and very helpful, but hidden costs and not knowing what you're getting into right up front is not a good business model at all. By time all the fees were calculated, I'm fairly certain I would have paid around half of that if I'd have had a local tax person file my taxes in person.
