Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2022 Tax return for Federal and State This started off as a good experience until the State taxes would not accept one of our SSI numbers. I paid to have this done by efile and because of this I will mail it in. I would like to have a full refund. The personal question on top of my information is uncalled for. If I have any fraud Turbo Tax will be the first place I will point to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Missed Key Data from my W2 The software itself is easy to use, and I like the ability to choose which forms I want to focus on for deductions and credits - this is helpful so you're not forced to wade through pages of information that does not apply to you. However, it made a serious error during the input of my W-2. I chose the option of letting Turbo Tax input my W-2 vs. typing the information in manually. Federal return went smoothly, however, when I tried to prepare my state return, it kept saying I owed thousands of dollars. It took me quite some time to troubleshoot the issue - I finally determined that it had not input data from Box 17, State Income Tax, so it looked like I had paid nothing in 2022. Once I manually entered the data, the problem was resolved. They do ask you to double check everything so it's partially on me for missing that. However it greatly surprises me that something as ubiquitous and common as State Income Tax would be missed.
