Rated 1 out of 5 by from Giving up on TurboTax after 20+ years I had problems trying to pay for TurboTax using my credit card. I tried 2 different credit cards. Both ended up having problems. I viewed this as Intuit's way of saying "please pay the extra $39 fee to let us take the price out of your tax return. We find that more pleasing that paying a 2.9% fee for allowing you to use your credit card". After digging online, I found that I could enter a bogus mailing address line 1 and it would work. This was a solution to questions being asked on 2021. That Intuit has not addressed this issue speaks volumes about what their intentions are. And my intention is to take my taxes to a local tax preparer from now on. If I'm going to spend extra money, I might as well keep it in the neighborhood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax has served me well, Year after Year! I have used Turbo Tax for over a decade and year after year it has provided results I can trust consistently. Some years, my financial accounting for tax purposes has been difficult to figure out, especially with respect to investments like mutual funds without a basis provided. For a case like this where there were multiple investments and withdrawals, Turbo Tax walked me through the long way of determining the basis. Doing it this way ensured me I was doing it correctly and my risk of being audited was very low. I find it to be a simple tax tool to use and I have learned a lot over the years about how the tax system is set up.

All done in the comfort of your home. I am pretty good with computer and also with numbers but it took me about 3hrs. total.
