Rated 5 out of 5 by from The man isn't preparing the taxes I'm very pleased with the software and the tax prep, which is why I keep using it. However, both TurboTax and the IRS have default assumptions that my husband is the one preparing the taxes. In our house, the wife handles these financial matters and it is infuriating that the default setting is for the male earner. If you've figured out tax code, surely you can figure out a more nuanced way to determine which adult is actually doing the taxes each year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked This Year, though I had my doubts Compared to last year, this year's TurboTax Home and Business worked without trouble. Last year, had to call Customer Care several times because my original license didn't work, then the downloaded version didn't work either and had to download a 3rd time. When it came to file electronically, it couldn't do it and Customer Care didn't know how to solve the problem so I ended up printing all my tax forms, Federal and 2 State forms, and sent them in by regular mail. Didn't get a refund for the electronic state forms or the e-filing fees for each state (Total = $103.30). Tried calling TurboTax but couldn't get through and gave up trying to get a refund. Didn't receive my Fed tax refund for 6 months because TurboTax could not e-file my form. Had a lot of hesitancy to try TurboTax this year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5 year Customer I will not be filing with TurboTax next year. The cost for this service is ridiculous. Over 5 years of using this service the dramatic increase in cost this year drew the line. This is no longer competitive.
